Avenue Health Expands Harm Reduction Initiative with Free Fentanyl Test Strip Kits for Community Safety

Fentanyl has become one of the most dangerous substances in America—not only in opioids, but in counterfeit pills and other street drugs where its presence is often unknown. Even tiny, accidental exposure can be fatal. At Avenue Health, we believe harm reduction means protecting every member of the community, not just those with prescriptions.

That’s why we’re expanding our harm-reduction initiative to offer free fentanyl test strip kits to community members who want to help prevent accidental overdose and hidden exposure.

The fentanyl test strip kits, provided by Dosetest, are verified by third-party labs for accuracy and include all necessary components for safe, simple use. Each kit can detect the presence of fentanyl in a small sample of a substance dissolved in water, providing individuals with critical information before use.

This initiative is focused on prevention and education—not enabling drug use. By giving families and first responders access to these tools, Avenue Health is helping to identify hidden risks and prevent accidental deaths from fentanyl contamination.
