Opioid overdoses can happen in any community—and too often, in homes where help isn’t close enough. At Avenue Health, we believe every prescription and every patient interaction is an opportunity to save a life.
That’s why we’re expanding our harm-reduction initiative to offer free naloxone nasal sprays to community members who cannot afford them, ensuring that every household with opioids also has this life-saving medication readily available.
Naloxone is an opioid reversal agent that can rapidly restore breathing during an overdose. Yet cost and access barriers continue to prevent many families from obtaining it. Avenue Health’s program aims to close that gap—making naloxone free and accessible for those most at risk.
The effort is part of Avenue Health’s ongoing harm-reduction mission: reducing opioid-related harm, expanding safer care options, and protecting the health of the communities it serves.
